The Era Of Collapsing Churches

There is a pervading movement in churches that intentionally undermines fundamental Bibliology. Many churches in this current environment of religious correctness are being seduced to dilute the fundamentals of God's Word. This is obvious because it is nearly impossible to distinguish between the religious world and many professing Christians. The result has been an aggressive move to erode differences between fundamentalist and religionist and nurture a compatibility that is inconsistent with the biblical mandate for separation. Fundamental Bibliology is not rooted merely in a denominational clan or creed. It is realized exclusively in the Word of God rightly divided. The exclusive use of God's Word has been reduced to inclusiveness alongside the use of entertainment, contemporary worship for the sake of induced emotionalism and toleration for worldly acceptance. The sustaining of such churches (small & large) will inevitably collapse in coming years to entrenched religious licentiousness. For the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, concerned Christians and churches must be bold in their prejudice against religionist who intentionally exercise a misrepresentation and/or ill-interpretation of the Holy Scriptures. Our chief asset is the Word of God rightly divided. This alone is what keeps a division between the ecumenical religionist and the Christ minded, Bible loving, holy living Believers. Amen. EXCELLENT - I dispute this issue with my children often. My youngest son who is a pastor sees nothing wrong with not being separated. He feels that to draw others to Christ he needs to be all inclusive and have services that others will come to. I see people coming but are they committed Christians? It's all about numbers.

P.S. we don't belong to the church he pastors. he is in another city (thankfully...or we'd feel like we had to go).

Dear Anonymous,

First of all – I greatly apologize, I meant to delete my comment post to correct a grammatical error, and accidently deleted yours. So I hope I have adequately addressed your comment. I believe the point Dr. Belanger is making here is that if our Churches are NOT teaching Jesus Christ, then they are missing the boat.

The Bible is our WORD from GOD today, the Old Testament pointed forward to the work on the Cross. The New Testament both highlights the work on the Cross and points back to it all the time preaching Jesus Christ. While Paul didn't have the KJV, his words penned were inspired by GOD Himself. He preached Christ every opportunity he had, and he rebuked the Churches that were caught in their old ways of Religion.

Of all the doctrines of the Bible, none is more important or foundational than Bibliology, the doctrine of the Bible. The reason for this is simple. The Bible’s witness to itself is that it is God’s Word and thus, our authority for belief and practice. Our understanding of God, of man, and of the salvation He offers mankind in Christ is all very much dependent on how much men believe and know the Bible. (J. Hampton Keathley, III)

I have no issue with a Church that has a 21st Century flair to appeal to the cultures of 2010. But I most definitely have a problem with any assembly that meets in Christ’s name, and then doesn’t use The Holy Scriptures to preach The Son of GOD. Any Church that does not teach the WORD of God, or the Gospel of Christ - by definition is NOT a Church.
